The answers to the question on disabilities were really clueless. The terms used by the monitor weren’t much better. Beth Olson kinda got it. It’s easy to say we need to make buildings assessable (so 80s) when that is the law. People with disabilities (putting people first) want equal access to education, employment, housing and public programs like those the parks provide. Not much was said about alterative formats for the blind or hearing impaired. I find it amusing that Becky Hall was upset about someone on the shoulder of the road using a motorized wheelchair. Would she be so concerned if this person was walking?
